The mission of the Membership & Congregational Life ministry is to provide
opportunities for conversation, connection, caring and fellowship. These activities are
designed for members of HOPE and for the community at large. Through these
connections that we build a stronger congregation as well as develop a positive
relationship in the community. The committee provides leadership in planning those
major life events in the church such as welcoming new members, as well as celebrating
baptism, confirmation and graduation. We partner with other ministries to create a
vibrant community.
Here is a list of events and social gatherings organized by the Congregational Life and
Membership Ministry Team:
- Lenten soup suppers
- Celebrating fellowship for baptisms, confirmation, and graduation
- New member welcome notes/gathering
- Notes to shut-ins and visitors of HOPE
- Bird walks
- Celebrate HOPE giving – food trucks, music and kids activities
- Quillows/books for high school graduates
- Trunk or Treat in October
- Christmas greetings, gifts to college students
- Christmas bake sale
- Coordinating potlucks
- Luminary walks
- Partner with Mission Ministry for God’s Work, Our Hands
- Bowling for charity
We are always eager to hear from others with ideas and suggestions, as well as to
participate in planning and organizing various events and activities. Join if this ministry
